An/2's impressive big brother – a top Mallorcan wine in a special class

If you've already been excited about the charming An/2, now is the time to experience the next level with the powerful and complex An Negra – a wine that truly shows what Mallorca has to offer.

The wine is dominated by the local Callet grape (95%), which is found only in Mallorca, and is elegantly rounded off with small amounts of Manto Negro and Fogoneu. The old vines grow in mineral-rich, nutrient-poor soil with high levels of iron and limestone – conditions that force the plants to perform at their best and produce grapes with maximum concentration and intensity.

The harvest is done manually, and only the best grapes are selected through a thorough sorting. Fermentation takes place in large cement tanks on the natural yeast that comes with the grapes from the field. The wine is then matured for 14 months in a combination of new and used French oak barrels, and finally for two months in steel tanks before bottling.

The result is a dark, intense wine with depth and complexity. The flavor profile offers ripe plums, black cherries and blackberries, supported by fine notes of vanilla from the barrel aging. It is a powerful wine with structure and depth, while managing to maintain elegance and finesse throughout the tasting experience.
