Solaia Toscana IGT 2017

Solaia is a wine with a rich and complex character, offering intense fruitiness, warmth and a mineral note. It presents layers upon layers of ripe red fruits, spices and flowers, giving it a remarkable depth. The palate is full-bodied, round and slightly sweet, with soft tannins and a long finish. It is ideal for veal, beef and lamb dishes.

Tenuta Tignanello, located in the heart of Chianti Classico, is famous for its excellent wines, Solaia and Tignanello. Owned by the Antinori family, this estate combines tradition with modern techniques and acts as an innovative laboratory for winemaking.

Solaia was introduced in 1978 and is a "super Tuscan" from a 20-hectare plot at Tenuta Tignanello. The wine is made primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon and is recognized as one of the world's finest. The typical grape composition is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Franc, and it is aged in new barriques for 14 months.

Solaia has achieved the prestigious score of 100 points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.
