Amphora's 2015 “No Man's Land”

Producer : Rotem & Mounir Saouma, known from both Burgundy négociant Lucien Le Moine and their own Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate, use biodynamic and minimalist methods in their winemaking.

Style and character:

Color : A clear ruby ​​red hue with a hint of garnet.

Aroma : Aroma of red berries such as strawberries and cherries, with light herbal spices, floral notes of lavender and violet, as well as a mineral and earthy undertone.

Taste : The wine has a slim, fresh and elegant profile – not as heavy as traditional Châteauneuf, but more reminiscent of a Northern Rhône structure. It is light in the barrel, highlighting the fruit and terroir.

Texture : Silky tannins, moderate alcohol content and a fresh acidity.

Grapes : Mainly Grenache with a bit of Mourvèdre (not always declared as it is Vin de France and not AOC).

Food pairing :

Goes well with grilled vegetables, lamb, duck and mushroom dishes.

Suitable for charcuterie or hard cheeses such as Comté, Tomme and Pecorino.
