Quinta da Pedra Escrita Douro 2019 offers an intense and fresh aromatic profile with notes of violets, as well as both black and red fruits, accompanied by fine nuances of French oak. This wine stands out for its freshness, acidity and lively tannins, giving it great aging potential and an elegant, persistent finish.

The winery is located in Freixo de Numão, Douro Superior, at an altitude of 575 meters. It is organically farmed on granite-based, sandy and nutrient-poor soils, which contributes to the complexity and durability of the wine.

The vinification process includes 100% manual harvesting in small perforated boxes, followed by destemming and crushing. A cold maceration is carried out for 48 hours and the alcoholic fermentation lasts for 3 weeks under temperature control. The wine is aged for 15 months in new 300 liter French oak barrels.
