Ontañón Gran Reserva is a Spanish wine that exudes intensity and warmth. It is composed of 85% Tempranillo and a little Graciano, grown in the eastern part of Rioja. The grapes come from old vineyards and the wine has been aged for 36 months in oak barrels, followed by 7 years of bottle aging.

The wine presents powerful aromas of black cherries, prunes, pipe tobacco, dark roasted spices, vanilla, truffle, smoke and balsamic. The palate is rich in cocoa and woody notes, with a deep and concentrated character, ending with a dry, full-bodied and fresh acidity.

It is ideal for simmering dishes with meat, mushrooms, root vegetables and herbs. The wine should be enjoyed within 20 years of the harvest year and served at a temperature of 16-18 degrees.
