Montes Pinot Noir Outer Limits 2020
The Pinot Noir grapes used for Outer Limits come from the 45-hectare Zapallar vineyard, located just 7 km from the Pacific coast. The fermentation process takes place in steel tanks and the wine is aged for 10-12 months in French barriques, with the proportion of new barrels varying depending on the vintage, typically around 30%.
The wine presents itself with a light ruby red hue. The aroma is intense with notes of red berries such as raspberries, currants and strawberries, complemented by a floral tone. The taste is well balanced with hints of both red and dark berries, including cherries, ripe strawberries and raspberries. The delicate tannin structure gives a velvety feel and a long mineral finish.
Best served at 15-17 degrees. Perfect with game birds, duck and veal. Can be enjoyed in its youth or stored for 6-8 years from the year of harvest.
