Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 Magnum is an iconic wine from Montes, made primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon with 10% Merlot. The grapes are grown in the renowned areas of Apalta and Marchigüe, where the vines are densely planted with 5,555 plants per hectare and a low yield of 7 tons per hectare. The wine undergoes fermentation in steel tanks and half of the wine is aged in used French oak barrels. It presents a deep ruby ​​red color and offers rich fruit notes of cherries, strawberries, blackcurrants and candied fruit. The barrel aging adds complex aromas of roasted coffee, tobacco, chocolate and vanilla. This wine is soft, elegant and harmonious with a persistent aftertaste. It is ideal for serving with red meat, lamb, game dishes and braised dishes. The wine can be enjoyed young, but also has the potential to be aged for at least 10 years. Recommended serving temperature is between 17 and 19 degrees.
