Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 is an iconic wine from Montes, made primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon with 10% Merlot. The grapes come from the renowned areas of Apalta and Marchigüe, where the vines are densely planted to ensure a low yield. The wine undergoes fermentation in steel tanks, and half of the wine is aged in used French oak barrels. It presents a deep ruby red color and offers aromas of cherries, strawberries, blackcurrants and candied fruit. The barrel aging adds complex notes of roasted coffee, tobacco, chocolate and vanilla. The taste is soft, elegant and harmonious with a persistent aftertaste. This wine is ideal for serving with red meat, lamb, game dishes and braised dishes. It can be enjoyed young, but also has the potential to develop for at least 10 years. Recommended serving temperature is 17-19 degrees.
