Martin Codax Mara Martín Godello Monterrei DO 2021 has received a remarkable score of 97 points from Decanter. This white wine originates from northwestern Spain near the Atlantic Ocean and is made exclusively from Godello grapes. The wine combines the softness of Chardonnay with the freshness of Riesling, creating an elegant and fruity taste experience.
Decanter highlights the wine's aroma of Granny Smith apples, its silky texture, refreshing acidity and a spicy, herbaceous core. It offers a long and luxurious finish and represents excellent value.
Ideal for serving with fish, shellfish, green salads and mild cheeses. Recommended serving temperature is 10-12ºC. The wine presents a straw yellow hue and a scent with notes of pears, peaches, apples, citrus, honey and a hint of smoke. The taste is full-bodied with a combination of citrus freshness and soft fruit, finished with a slightly salty minerality and bread notes. Can be enjoyed now or stored for 4-5 years.
