**The area**
The Cognac region, located north of Bordeaux, has been the world leader in brandy since the 15th century. In 1860, geologist Coquand subdivided the area and discovered that the soil has a significant influence on the quality of cognac. Grande Champagne, the most prestigious area, is known for its chalky soil, which adds finesse and elegance to the products.

**The Producer**
Maison Villevert, based in Cognac, is known for producing grape-based spirits, including G'Vine Floraison and Nouaison Gin, June (a gin liqueur with grape blossom and peach flavors), La Quintinye Vermouth Royal, and Excellia Tequila. They consider grapes to be the most noble fruit in the world.

**The product**
JUNE GIN by G'Vine 37.5% is a new flavour of gin from Maison Villevert. It offers aromas of grape blossom, peach and juniper. JUNE was introduced in April in Spain and sold over 8000 bottles within two weeks. In 2018, gin-based spirits grew by 788% in Europe and accounted for half of the growth in the gin segment.
