Juan Gil Silver Label 2019

Juan Gil Silver Label 2019 is a wine made exclusively from Monastrell grapes from 50-year-old vines. These older vines produce fewer grapes, but they are incredibly flavorful. The wine has undergone a 25-day "sur lie" process and is then aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new, to add complexity and mellow the flavor.

The wine has a deep purple color, almost black, and offers intense aromas of ripe blackcurrants, red berries, smoke, licorice, vanilla, pepper and balsamic. The taste is full, powerful and dense with a silky finish that lasts. The soft, ripe tannins give a fine structure to the concentrated fruit.

Serve the wine at 16-18 degrees and let it air for 30 minutes before serving. It is an excellent choice with roasted vegetables and mushrooms, stews, lamb, game, red meat, barbecued dishes or mature cheeses.

This wine is among the best Spanish wines in its price range. If you prefer full-bodied, dense wines with a slight sweetness and spicy character, this is a must-try.
