Camino Africana is a fortified wine created in the traditional port style using grapes from a hot and dry microclimate in South Africa. Made from Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Garnacha, this wine is perfect with desserts, cheeses and pickled fruit, or can be enjoyed on its own by the fire or during a night safari. The grapes were crushed and fermented in open vats with six daily stirrings for a week before fermentation was stopped with pure grape spirit. The wine was then aged for 12 months in 300 litre barrels.
